Hugely popular teen novelist Sarah Dessen is back with Lock and Key. In Dessen’s latest, Ruby is sent to live with her older, married sister in a beautiful neighborhood. She now attends private school, but will her life become easier? This is a rare appearance by Dessen, also the author of This Lullaby, Dreamland and The Truth About Forever.

Text Box: Prize-winning journalist Tony Horwitz delivers A voyage Long and Strange, which seeks to understand what happened in the New World between Columbus’ landing and the Pilgrims’ arrival on the Mayflower. With wit, intelligence and insight, Horwitz enables us to see the gap between what we call history and what we forget. Horwitz is also the author of Confederates in the Attic. He lives with his wife, Geraldine Brooks, on Martha’s Vineyard.

Text Box: National Book Award-winning novelist Ellen Gilchrist examines the impact of the Iraq War on the women of the Hand family in A Dangerous Age. For Olivia, Winifred, and Louise Hand, struggle and sadness are known quantities, but when the Iraq War jumps from the newspapers into their lives, they begin to realize that they are closer to devastation than they ever thought they would be. Gilchrist is the author of several novels and short stories including, The Annunciation, Nora Jane: A Life in Stories and Starcarbon: a Meditation on Love.
