Applying for Membership
Text Box: Anyone interested in writing is eligible for membership in Rome Area Writers. Membership Dues are $15 for each calendar year, payable in January or at any time during the year for new members but not prorated by months. Checks should be made payable to Rome Area Writers and mailed to Joel Fletcher, 202 Hood Dr. SE GA along with name, address, phone number and E-mail address if available. You may attend any meeting as a guest; however, only members may participate in activities such as the Anthology or group book-signings. Joel can also be reached at jffco1226@bellsouth.net. Text Box: In keeping with its motto of Writers Helping Writers, the purpose of Rome Area Writers is to offer these opportunities to members: * Inspiration and impetus for members by listening and reacting to other members as they present their work. * Improvement in writing skills from programs presented by published authors and by members * Encouragement to become involved on a personal or small group basis * The opportunity for members to have works included in Lavender Mountain Anthology, an annual publication by Rome Area Writers * Association with others who love to write and also want to share ideas, problems, and suggestions
